flouts rules; pilot far exceeds flight duty time

Continuing with
quickfire violations of the Civil Aviation Rules,
Air-India once again finds itself at the wrong end of the
stick for allegedly allowing a 747-400 commander to
operate a Frankfurt-Chicago flight after having travelled
on the same aircraft on the Mumbai-Frankfurt sector as a
supernumerary or staff in uniform thereby seriously
compromising air safety.

Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on the 58th anniversary his
martyrdom today. President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister
Manmohan Singh, besides a host of other dignitaries, led the country
in paying floral tributes at Gandhiji’s samadhi at Rajghat here
this morning.
