Conjoined twins die during surgery
Surat, January 22 “We were actually going to perform the operation on Monday but the condition of one of the twins began to deteriorate forcing us to go in for an operation this afternoon,” Dr Trivedi said. “The seven-hour operation ended at 8pm after we separated the healthy baby from the malformed one,” he added. “The conjoined twins weighed just two kg when they went in for surgery,” he added. The kids were born to Muslim parents at a hospital in Ankleshwar. They were first moved to Lokhat Hospital and later shifted to the General Hospital for the surgery.
