Bomb scare in train

Mumbai, December 31
All passengers of the Mumbai- Ferozpur Janata Express were asked to get down from the train at Surat around 1.50 pm today following an anonymous call that a bomb has been planted in the train, according to Western Railway sources. “The sniffer dogs and a bomb squad are searching the train,” chief PRO of Western Railway Shailendra Kumar told PTI here.

“The Railway Police received a call that there was a bomb planted in the 9023 Dn Mumbai-Ferozepur Janata Express which started from Mumbai Central today. The train was stopped at Surat and all passengers were asked to get down to allow the sniffer dogs and a bomb squad to search for any bomb,” Kumar said. — PTI
