6 convicted for killing rights activist Khalra
Patiala, November 18
DSP Jaspal Singh and ASI Amarjit Singh were sentenced to life imprisonment and four others awarded seven-year rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000 each in the Jaswant Singh Khalra disappearance case by the District and Additional Sessions Judge Bhupinder Singh here today. Dubai firm to build townships in Punjab
Chandigarh, November 18
The Punjab Government has signed an Rs 4,000 crore Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emaar-MGF, a company formed by Emaar Properties PJSC — a Government of Dubai promoted company — for developing infrastructure and integrated township projects in Mohali, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar.
