SAARC against double standards on tackling terrorism
Dhaka, November 13
Agreeing with his Pakistan counterpart Shaukat Aziz that there was “trust deficit” between the two countries, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said “all that needs to be done” on stopping crossborder terrorism has not been done by Islamabad.

Abu admits role in Mumbai blasts: CBI
Mumbai, November 13
The CBI today claimed that extradited underworld don Abu Salem has “admitted his role in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts as supplier of arms and ammunition”, even as the agency did not rule out the possibility of subjecting Salem to scientific tests.

Lashkar behind Delhi blasts, says police chief
New Delhi, November 13
The Delhi police today claimed to have achieved a major breakthrough in the October 29 serial blasts with the arrest of a Lashkar-e-Toiba militant in Srinagar. Delhi Police Commissioner K. K. Paul said this at a crowded press conference here.

Irked over the sting operation in which his son, Mr Anil Sethi, Additional AG, has been shown allegedly demanding a “bribe” of Rs 20 lakh for favourable settlement of the multi-crore scam in the Rural Development Department, Mr Justice R. P. Sethi, chairman of the state’s Accountability Commission, has directed the DGP to register a criminal case against his son.
