FIR against Lalu for threatening officials

Hajipur (Bihar), October 24
An FIR was lodged today against RJD President and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav for allegedly threatening officials during an election meeting on October 24.

Official sources said during an election meeting in Vaishali district, Mr Parsad had reportedly threatened officers saying they would face the consequences for harassing his party candidates.

The FIR had been filed with Bidupur police station. Returning Officer of Raghopur Assembly constituency had sent a detailed report to the District Magistrate Cum Election Officer of Vaishali Sanjiv Hans for further action in this regard.

Another FIR had been lodged against Congress candidate from Vaishali Veena Shahi, charging her with using excess number of vehicles during an election meeting at Fatehpur village. — UNI
