Punjab PMET: SC orders fresh merit list
To include 8 answers suggested by DU, CBSE

Imposing a cost of Rs 1 lakh on Guru Nanak Dev University for its “apathetic and casual” approach in preparing the Punjab Pre-Medical Entrance Test paper with a number of wrong questions and incorrect “key answers”, the Supreme Court today directed the varsity to prepare fresh merit list by including correct answers of eight questions suggested unanimously by the Delhi University and CBSE in their reports submitted to it.

Pakistan today informed India that its request for consular access to Sarabjit Singh, sentenced to death for his alleged involvement in bomb blasts in this country, was being examined as senior Ministers here were locked in a debate whether President Pervez Musharraf was authorised to pardon him.

India today once again raised the Sarabjit Singh issue with Pakistan, but there was no response yet from Islamabad on the issue of consular access to the Indian national who has been convicted and sentenced to death on charges of espionage.
