High Court suspends Jhajjar CJM Chandigarh, August 19 Mr Jivan is the same judicial officer who had granted bail to former Indian cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi in the infamous black buck killing case. However, Mr Jivan’s suspension does not have anything to do with the Pataudi case. A senior High Court official told The Tribune that the decision to suspend Mr Jivan was taken due to the serious nature of allegations against him regarding his earlier tenure at the Sonepat Sessions Division. “He has been suspended with immediate effect. Proceedings against him have also been initiated. But, let me clarify that his suspension is not connected to the Pataudi case,” the officer said. Meanwhile, the High Court has also ordered immediate withdrawal of all judicial work from the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ludhiana, Mr Sukhdarshan Singh. It has also decided to recommend to the Punjab Government to retire Mr Sukhdarshan Singh on completing the age of 55 years. The High Court carries review of the performance of all judicial officers at the age of 55. High Court sources said there were many complaints, some of them of serious nature, against Mr Sukhdarshan. As per the full court decision, Mr Sukhdarshan would not be allotted any judicial work till his retirement. The Full Court is also learnt to have posted Mr R.P. Nagrath the District and Sessions Judge of the newly-created Sessions Division of Mansa.
