Manmohan Singh today made two major announcements: that
there was no evidence yet of the involvement of Pakistan
as a nation state in yesterday’s terrorist attack in
Ayodhya and that there was no question of Union Home
Minister Shivraj Patil resigning for the so-called
intelligence-failure.

Ayodhya, July 6
One of the six
persons killed in the blast was identified on Wednesday
evening as Ramesh Pandey, a junior priest cum guide,
living in Katara, next to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple
complex.
Security personnel stand guard while workers on Wednesday carry out repair and maintenance work on the outer barricade which the militants attempted to blow-up in a bid to enter the makeshift Ram temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday.
