LJP’s move to form govt in Bihar

Patna, May 1
After senior JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar abandoning his exercise of government formation in Bihar, the LJP today set in motion consultations for it by setting up a seven-member committee to elicit views of non-RJD and non-BJP parties on the contentious issue and submit its report to party leadership within a week.

The newly-elected MLAs of the party met here this afternoon for more than four hours at the residence of its Lok Sabha member From Balia and national General Secretary Surajbhan Singh and decided to engage the committee, headed by party General Secretary Tanjan Yadav, to elicit the views of like-minded parties, including the JD(U), Congress, CPI, CPI-M and Samajwadi Party and submit its report to LJP President Ramvilas Paswan. — PTI
