Tejakheda (Sirsa), April 7
Former Haryana Chief Minister’s men let lose a reign of terror around his farmhouse amidst reports of the CBI raid there and even bashed up the cameraman of a private TV channel. The raid was conducted in connection with the JBT teachers recruitment scam.

When The Tribune team reached Mr Chautala’s farmhouse today his men were standing at one gate amidst eerie silence, while the other gate was closed. Just when the team was approaching them a private TV channel’s reporter drove in his car towards the other gate. He and his companion alighted from the car and started shooting. After a couple of minutes Chautala’s men confronted them. One of them asked the reporter — what are you doing here? Shut your camera. How did you get in? When the reporter asked about the CBI raid he said that no one could dare to raid this farmhouse. He asked his other aides to “throw him out of the farmhouse premises”. The Chautala’s men also slapped the cameraman accompanying the reporter. He then asked a police constable on duty to show him the exit route. His men behaved rudely with the mediapersons converging at the farmhouse to gather information about the CBI raid. It remained out of bounds for the media men throughout the day and nobody was allowed inside. They were armed with ‘lathis’ and were abusing journalists. It seemed from their behaviour that even though Mr Chautala was out of power, but his men were yet to mend their ways. There was no local police official present at the farmhouse, though reports said the DSP visited the place around 8.30 am. The DSP expressed ignorance about the raids inability to comment on it.

Sources said a six-member team of the CBI had raided Mr Chautala’s farmhouse in the morning. At that time none of his family members were present at the farmhouse. Sources said the raid continued for about four hours. However, no details about any seizure from the farmhouse were available. Sources said the CBI team left along with the team, which raided Mr Chautala’s residence in Sirsa, to New Delhi. Meanwhile, the residents of Tejakheda village were unaware about the happenings at the farmhouse.
