Shakti Kapoor ‘trapped’ in sting operation

New Delhi, March 12
Filmstar Shakti Kapoor today threatened to go to court over the “blackmailing” by a television host for his alleged luring a wannabe actress into ‘submission’ on the pretext of introducing her to the filmdom.

Furious over a TV host’s alleged “sting operation” showing him offering his help and alleged attempt to kiss her on camera, the noted filmstar said he was seeking legal opinion on the matter “which was very serious’’.

Reacting sharply to the “pure blackmailing’’ tactics through surreptitious means, ‘’which could devastate the entire family’’, Mr Kapoor said it was a malicious attempt to sully his image and finish his career.

“This TV host said he wanted to meet me alone after which the whole matter would be sorted out, to which I said I do not want to meet you because if I meet you I will kill you for this,’’ Shakti Kapoor told UNI on phone from Mumbai.

Talking to reporters before showing the “sex sleaze of filmstars’’, as he called it, the TV host Suhaib Ilyasi said it was an attempt to cleanse the system and rid it of people like Kapoor who exploit innocent, gullible men and women in the guise of helping them out.

“We have a number of people trapped, of which this is the first. Soon we’ll be coming out with details about others in the film industry.’’

We present before you how Shakti Kapoor turned from reel-life villain to real-life villain by attacking us after we confronted him soon after the ‘operation’.

“He threatened us with dire consequences, flinging abuses and even hit us badly which resulted in the injury of our people,’’ said Ilyasi.

In the video, Kapoor was shown in a hotel room talking to the girl about how she needed to be groomed before she was introduced to producers, directors... with her face not in the frame.

He was shown telling names of big stars like Aishwarya Rai, Priety Zinta and Rani Mukherjee who went through the casting couch before they were signed for the big banners of Subhash Ghai and Yash Johar.

“You have to do all this if you want to get big names... . You need to be groomed for three months and take acting lessons and also lose weight... .’’

Kapoor later told UNI that the girl had been following him for the last six months, before the given incident took place about two months back, and had called him to the hotel room. — UNI
