Ludhiana, March 5
The city police today arrested two more employees of Park Plaza Hotel regarding the case of videofilming a couple staying in room No 114 of the hotel last night. In a related development, a city court ordered a five-day remand for the two accused — Raju Sahni and Parminder Pohal — arrested yesterday. The police also searched the hotel this evening. Raju and Parminder admitted that they were peeping into the room.

The police arrested receptionist Dharminder and waiter Sangam today. Dharminder has been arrested under Section 120-B in the case.

The family members of the couple have been stressing since the incident that the receptionist knew everything about the alleged racket. Dharminder had even dared to stop SP R.K. Jaiswal from examining the computer data in the hotel reception yesterday. He was the one who had told the couple to reduce the volume of the TV.

The arrest of all four employees have negated the claims of the hotel management, especially Managing Director J. Khangura, that the couple had quarrelled with each other or the bridegroom had a scuffle with some outsiders.

The police said no camera was found.

Relatives of the couple have threatened to take legal recourse against the hotel management for launching a character assassination campaign against the couple as part of its damage-control exercise.

The injured youth, Harpreet Singh, who was discharged from the CMC hospital today, said that the reported statement of the Managing Director of the hotel that the couple had quarrelled with each other was not only funny, but highly offensive.

Meanwhile, all denials of the hotel management that video-filming was being done in the hotel stand exposed as The Tribune has procured an MMS clip in which an unidentified girl is seen in different poses in a hotel room.

The clip has been clearly shot from the window as was alleged by Harpreet Singh who had booked the room for the wedding night.

The mobile clip titled ‘Park Plaza’ was in circulation for the past some weeks. The Tribune has got copies of the clip.
