Kidnappers kill 6-year-old boy in Rewari Rewari, February 19 The police has registered a case of murder and disappearance of evidence of offence under Sections 302, 201 of the IPC. Ankit Yadav (6), son of Manoj Kumar Yadav of Bhatera village that falls under the Khol police station of this district, was a nursery student of Bhartiya Uchh Vidya Mandir at Nangal Mundi village, 2 km from Bhatera. As usual he left home at about 8 am yesterday and proceeded towards the spot from where he was to catch the school bus. However, before he could get to the spot he was allegedly kidnapped by the miscreants. They took him to an unknown place from where they made two telephonic calls at about 11 am at short intervals to Ankit’s guardians at Bhatera demanding a ransom of Rs 10 lakh for the safe release of the child. The kidnappers also made it clear to Ankit’s guardians that if they failed to pay the ransom before evening and dared inform the police, they would kill Ankit. Ankit’s guardians informed the police but before the police could lay its hands on the kidnappers, they did Ankit to death. The gruesome killing has sent shock waves in Bhatera and surrounding villages.
Hoshiarpur, February 19 He granted further police remand of all the accused up to February 25.
