CPM to review UPA rule

Kolkata, February 12
Addressing a massive rally at the brigade parade ground here, the CPM leadership today warned the Congress to stop adopting “anti-people” policies or face the prospect of getting out of the government.

The leaders, who spoke at the rally, included, Jyoti Basu, party general secretary, Harkrishen Singh Surjeet, Chief Minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and prominent politburo members, Prakash Karat, Sitaram Yechuri and Anil Biswas.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr Karat said they would soon review the working of the 10-month rule of the Manmohan Singh government and then decide about their future course of action in supporting the UPA government from outside.
