Venkaiah’s chopper set ablaze
Tribune News Service

New Delhi, January 29
Former BJP President M Venkaiah Naidu today escaped unhurt when petrol bombs were thrown at his helicopter, a short distance away from his election rally in a village in Gaya district in Bihar.

Confirming the incident, party Vice-President M.A. Naqvi said “Mr Naidu is safe. Some miscreants threw petrol bombs and set the chopper ablaze as he was addressing the public meeting.” Mr Naqvi said the twin-engine Deccan Aviation chopper had to make an emergency landing due to fuel shortage and some miscreants beat up its pilot and set fire to it.
