One killed, 60 injured in
train collision in Hoshiarpur

Trains collide near Hoshiarpur
Mukerian (Punjab), December 14
At least one person was killed and 60 others were injured in a collision between Jammu Tawi Ahmedabad express and a passenger train in Hoshiarpur district today.

The collision between the Jammu Tawi and Jalandhar Pathankot Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) trains took place near Mansar village between Mirthala and Bangar railway stations in the Jalandhar-Pathankot railway section.

Hospital sources here said at least one person was killed. Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and senior railway, police and civil officials have reached the spot, railway sources said. PTI
