Chandigarh, December 9
The Supreme Court is understood to have sought the consent of four Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court for posting them to other High Courts.
The Judges are Mr Justice G.S. Singhvi, Mr Justice V.K. Bali, Mr Justice V.M. Jain and Mr Justice Nirmal Singh.
According to sources, Mr Justice Singhvi is being posted out to the Gujarat High Court and it is likely that within a few weeks of joining at Ahmedabad, he will be promoted as Chief Justice of a High Court.
Mr Justice Bali, sources say, is also likely to be sent to the Gujarat High Court.
As for the remaining two Judges, Mr Justice Jain is being transferred to Tamil Nadu High Court, while Mr Justice Nirmal Singh is being posted out to the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
