Natwar, Aziz to go on with talks
New Delhi, November 23
Pakistan Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz arrived here this afternoon, along with a high-level 70-member delegation, on a SAARC-related visit and soon after plunged into talks with External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh with all his six accompanying ministers present at the meeting.

Terror threat forces US Consulate closure

Fatah picks Abbas as Arafat replacement

The ruling Fatah party has chosen former premier Mahmoud Abbas as its candidate to replace Yasser Arafat as head of the Palestinian Authority in January 9 elections, a Palestinian official said.

Charas smugglers operate in guise  of pilgrims

The arrest of two youths, one from Sangrur and the other from Talwara, both in Punjab, here last week under the Narcotics Drugs Psychotropic Substances act by the Mandi police has brought into focus a new mode of charas smuggling in the state.

Gharsana SDM’s office gheraoed
Rajasthan farmers revive agitation

Defying prohibitory orders, hundreds of farmers today gheraoed the SDM’s office at Gharsana town in Sriganganagar district, reviving their agitation for irrigation water after the October 27, police firing which claimed five lives.
