Ultras kill teacher for not observing dress code

Jammu, November 13
A schoolteacher identified as Hamid Begum was killed today by terrorists in the Darhal area of Poonch for not observing the dress code ordered by the ultras.

According to reports the terrorists forcibly entered her house and shot her dead, while her husband, Mohammad Hussain, was wounded critically in the incident.

In another incident, terrorists exploded an IED near the Shahdara Sharief shrine in the Thanamandi areas.

Sources said the ultras planted four IEDs on the road between Shadhra and Upper Shadhra area last evening with an intention to target the security forces. Later, a search patrol recovered three IEDs from the area.

The Army has, meanwhile, asked photojournalists not to take unauthorised pictures in military areas. They have been asked to carry their identity cards while visiting Army formations.

A report from Baramula said a BSF jawan was injured when the militants attacked a patrol at Rafiabad on Saturday.

The militants attacked a BSF patrol with automatic weapons at Bonipora Watergam village in the Rafiabad area.

The BSF jawans retaliated and in the clash, Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar of 13th battalion of the BSF was injured.

The militants shot the relative of a PDP leader. The bullet-riddled body of Mumtaz Ahmad Wani, cousin of PDP tehsil president Mohammad Abdullah, was recovered by the police from Brar village in the Bandipora area.
