India committed to resolve issues with Pak, says PM
New Delhi, November 5
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today offered to resolve all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, with Pakistan provided Islamabad ensured its territory is not used for cross-border terrorism.

India held their nerve to snatch a nail-biting 13-run victory in the fourth and final Test against Australia and salvage some pride after having lost the series.

In an important ruling on the question of reservation, the Supreme Court today ruled that “micro reservation” within the reservation quota, provided for a certain category of under privileged sections of society, was not permissible under the Constitution scheme.

Governor can sanction prosecution of ministers: SC

In a judgment of far-reaching consequences regarding initiating action against “corrupt” politicians, the Supreme Court today ruled that the Governor was competent to take an independent decision about granting sanction for the prosecution of a minister even if it was turned down by the Council of Ministers.
