The Maharashtra Assembly electorate
verdict took it first toll today when Mr Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu quit
as the President of the BJP citing personal reasons forcing the party to
hand over reins to former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani.

recommended a major reshuffle in the higher judiciary by approving
transfers and appointments of Chief Justices of eight High Courts,
including the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Kaur, suffered a major setback when Begowal-based doctor Balwinder Singh
Sohal, who has turned approved in the Harpreet murder case, today
claimed that Bibi’s close confidant Dalwinder Kaur Dhesi had rolled a
wooden object over the stomach of a pregnant Harpreet to cause bleeding
which eventually led to an abortion.

Two
students die as live wire falls on school
Srinagar, October 18
Two students, including one of
kindergarten, were killed and six critically injured when they came in
contact with a live electric wire that fell on a government primary
school in Badgam district today while the students were appearing in the
final term examination.
