Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Haryana and fell in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.3°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
