Jammu/ Srinagar, April 28
Two persons were killed and 60 injured as terrorists attacked an election rally of National Conference
candidate Khalid Najeeb Surawardhy at Bagwa village, in Doda district today. The area falls in the Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency.

In a highly coordinated pre-dawn strike
today, heavily armed suspected Islamic militants in Muslim-dominated
Thailand’s south attacked police posts triggering a heavy gun-battle that
left 90 ultras and five security men dead and scores injured.

The Election Commission today ordered repoll in 502 polling stations in
Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh, while keeping its decision on

treasures sold for £ 4.7 million
London, April 28
Rare Mughal treasures, brought from India by British colonial commander
Robert Clive, were sold for £ 4.7 million at an auction at Christie’s
here. The collection, which was sold by Clive’s descendants, fetched
more than three times Christie’s estimate as bidders competed fiercely
for the historic 17th and 18th century works of art yesterday.
