CBSE cancels PMT exam

New Delhi, April 10
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) tonight cancelled the All-India Pre Medical Entrance Examination which was scheduled to be held tomorrow.

CBSE Chairman Ashok Ganguly said the new date for the examination will be announced soon.

Speaking to Aaj Tak, Mr Ganguly said the Test was cancelled after the question papers seized, from two people arrested by the Delhi Police, matched with the original set of papers.

Earlier, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) B.K. Gupta told UNI that Rakesh Kumar Verma of Dhanbad in Jharkhand and Vikas Verma of Agra were arrested at around 2100 hrs from Pili Kothi area in New Ashok Nagar area here.

He said 13 examinees, including five girls, had also been detained for questioning.

Mr Gupta said Vikas is an MBBS student enrolled in a medical college in Nagpur. — UNI
