Amritsar, April 1
Senior vice-president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Alwinder Pal Singh Pakhoke would be the working president of the ‘mini Parliament of Sikhs’. He may continue to hold this post till the completion of Lok Sabha elections.

As per bylaws of the Sikh Gurdwara act, 1925, senior vice-president of the Shiromani Committee automatically takes over as president in such emergency situations.

Sources send though Mr Pakhoke was not acceptable to a section of the Shiromani Committee yet he should continue till May 10 due to prevailing circumstances.
