Amritsar, March 30
The team of cardiologists attending on SGPC President Gurcharan Singh Tohra felt that his condition continues to be critical and they were keeping a close watch on his blood pressure and pulse. Senior Cardiologist at the Escort Heart Institute Arun Chopra said till Mr Tohra shows some kind of recovery he will not be shifted to Escort Heart Institute, New Delhi, as decided earlier.
Dr Chopra added that Mr Tohra continued to be on life support system. They were unable to reduce the intake of drugs maintaining his blood pressure and pulse.
Senior Cardiac Surgeon Dr Naresh Trehan and Chief Cardiologist Dr T.S. Kler of Escort Hospital, New Delhi, are monitoring the condition of Mr Tohra regularly.
A Senior Intensive Care Specialist, Dr S.M. Singh, had been specially sent from New Delhi to take care of Mr Tohra and monitor his condition round the clock.
Meanwhile a large number of Mr Tohra’s supporters and well wishers were camping in the Escort Hospital complex praying for the early recovery of their leader.
