Kolkata, February 21
Jagmohan Dalmiya Accompanied by security officials, the Indian cricket team will embark on a much-awaited 40-day tour of Pakistan on March 10 to play three Tests and five one-dayers, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced here today ending days of suspense over the schedule of the historic visit.

Pak bans movement of hardline clerics

The Pakistani Government has banned more than 300 hardline clerics from leaving their home districts to prevent them inciting violence when minority Shiites start a key holy month next week.

The police has arrested three Pakistan-based terrorists who had infiltrated into India from Pakistan. A large quantity of arms and ammunition has been seized from their possession. The terrorists were arrested by a team of police officials of Poonch district when they had almost reached New Delhi.

The Congress today took the BJP to task for encouraging criminalisation of politics which, it said, was evident from the induction of history-sheeter D.P. Yadav into its ranks. Congress spokesperson Kapil Sibal said there were 30 criminal cases pending against Mr Yadav both in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi which include murder, attempt to murder, hooliganism and kidnapping.
