In a landmark verdict, the Mumbai
High Court has rejected a public interest litigation that urged for a
direction to restrain the Union of India, both Houses of Parliament and
state legislatures from prosecuting any citizen for alleged breach of
privilege of the Houses in the absence of a comprehensive codified law.

of industrial waste flows into Sutlej

 Thousands of truck-loads of
industrial waste (muck) from the 800 MW Kol Dam Hydro Power Project
is being dumped either into the Sutlej or by the side of the river
every day.
