INLD snaps ties with BJP
HVP, BJP may forge alliance

Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala this evening announced the snapping of the INLD-BJP alliance and his coming out of the NDA at the Centre. He launched a scathing attack on the Haryana unit of the BJP and the Vajpayee-led government at the Centre which he alleged acted against Haryana.

Punjab CM’s aircraft violates PM’s
‘no-fly zone’

The vulnerability to the Prime Minister’s residence and the slackness of the security agencies was revealed once again today when a Punjab Government plane, with state Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on board, flew low over the Race Course Road complex, violating the stipulated “no-fly zone”.

Punjabi University today suspended a Reader in the Department of Physics, Dr Hemraj Verma, following the submission of a report by a committee constituted by the Vice-Chancellor to probe the charge of harassment levelled against him by a former research fellow, Ms Puneeta Verma.
