Pak cultural group to perform in India

Attari, February 6
A 42-member cultural group will soon visit India to perform in different cities.

This was stated here yesterday by noted Pakistan satirist, Dr Shahid Alwari, after alighting from the Samjhouta Express.

Dr Alwari said the group would include top Pakistani folk dancers like Shazia Khatak famous for Rajasthani and Sindhi dances, folk singer kile Arif Luhaar and poets.

The group would perform at Mumbai, Shimla, Chandigarh, Malerkotla, Jaipur and Hyderabad. The group was expected to arrive by February 15. Dr Alwari said he had been invited to participate in the national mushaira to be held in Delhi on February 15.
