New Delhi, January 25
The Delhi police has claimed to have arrested three LeT militants this morning. The militants according to the sleuths were in Delhi to disrupt the Republic Day celebrations and to carry out explosions in various parts of the Capital.
The sleuths also claimed to have seized three kilograms of highly explosive material, two detonators, four ABCD timers, three rocket propelled grenades, US dollars and some Indian currency.
Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Karnal Singh said the sleuths had information that some LeT militants were in the Capital to disrupt the celebrations and carry out explosions in the Capital. The team which had been working on the information for the past one month, raided a premises in Laxmi Nagar in East Delhi at around 5.30 am and arrested the militants who are in the age group of 20-35.
He also said the militants who had shifted to the East Delhi hideout four days ago gave some important information besides their foreign connections.
