Petrol, diesel to cost more

New Delhi, December 31
The new year will witness a record high in prices of petrol and diesel as consumers will have to shell out Re 1 to Rs 1.20 more for a litre of the two fuels from midnight today.

While the prices will vary from state to state according to local taxes, the price increase will range between Re 1 and Rs 1.20 in four metros till January 15.

While a litre of petrol will cost Rs 33.70 in Delhi, up Re 1 from the existing Rs 32.70, Mumbai will witness the maximum price increase of Rs 1.09 at Rs 38.83 against Rs 37.74. — UNI
