Body of minister’s daughter found

Imphal, November 12
The body of Lungnila Elizabeth, a Manipur minister’s daughter kidnapped for ransom by militants, was today recovered from a pond near her school in Imphal West district. The authorities clamped indefinite curfew on the state capital shortly afterwards as a precautionary measure.

The body of the eight-year-old girl, riddled with bullets and bundled in a sack, was found in a pond at Sangaiporou Sathokpam, about 3 km from here, from near Little Flower High School, where Elizabeth, General Administration Minister Francis Ngajokpa’s daughter, was a student of standard three, official sources said. — PTI
