Pakistan today gave broad acceptance to most of the 12-point Indian peace package, including the proposal for a bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad in PoK with a rider that UN officials should man the check-points on the Line of Control and people should travel on UN documents.

HC acquits 2 in Parliament attack case

Upholding the death sentence to two Jaish-e-Mohammed militants in the Parliament attack case, the Delhi High Court today acquitted two co-accused — a city college lecturer and the wife of one of the militants — finding no “sufficient” evidence to prove their involvement in the December 13, 2001, assault by five Pakistani terrorists.
