Ayodhya case: framing of charges stayed

Lucknow, October 9
The Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court today postponed till further orders the proceedings of framing charges against the six accused in the Ayodhya demolition case going on in a Rae Bareli special CBI court.

Mr Justice Y.R. Tripathi passed this order on the four revision petitions filed by BJP leaders Uma Bharati, Vinay Katiyar, VHP leaders Ashok Singhal, Acharya Giriraj Kishore, Vishnu Hari Dalmia and Sadhvi Ritambhara.

Mr Singhal and Mr Kishore had filed a joint petition, as also Mr Dalmia and Ms Ritambhara.

The court has, meanwhile, clubbed these revisions with earlier revision petition of Union Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi. — UNI
