UHBVN launches scheme to settle power theft cases

The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has introduced a ‘Settlement Out of Court’ scheme to settle the disputed cases of power theft as well as recovery of the power bills arrears in the state. According to a report, the scheme would continue until October 31 and the parties desiring settlement of disputes under the scheme would be exempted from the payment of fine up to 50 per cent.
