Atal’s name mooted for Nobel Prize

New Delhi, October 1
The local International Awakening Centre (IAC) has recommended, for the second time, the names of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, US President George W. Bush and British Premier Tony Blair to Norwegian Nobel Peace Research Institute for this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for “their untiring campaign against the scourge of terrorism and unprecedented contribution towards world peace”.

Making his recommendation in a letter to the Oslo-based Nobel Institute Director Stein Toennesson, IAC President Majaz Mungeri said international attention towards terrorism was drawn only by the efforts of the Indian Prime Minister. — UNI
