Arrest Togadia, demands BJP minority leader
Tribune News Service

New Delhi, October 1
A prominent member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Minority Morcha Salim Khan today asked the NDA government to arrest senior VHP leader Praveen Togadia for his anti-national, minority-bashing and ‘filthy’ utterances that did not even spare the Prime Minister or the Supreme Court.

Mr Khan, former national secretary of the Morcha, said that Mr Togadia’s speech at the party’s minority forum on September 27 was an act of ‘treason’ for which stern legal action should be taken against him.

Mr Khan said that by inviting the VHP international general secretary to their seminar of September 27, BJP Spokesman Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had “provided Dr Togadia with a platform for his ill-nourished, vicious and baseless statements”.

Talking to newspersons after three days of Mr Togadia’s address to the Minority Morcha of the BJP at the Press Club of India here, Mr Khan said that while the VHP leader claimed to be a Ram ‘bhakt’ (follower of Lord Ram), he was indeed behaving like Ravana.
