The cremation of a valiant soldier, who lost his life fighting for the honour of his country, seems to no longer interest politicians and senior officials in the district. As the body of Niab Subedar Dharamvir Singh of 6 Mahar Regiment was consigned to flames in his native village of Mirpur Korali in Hodal sub-division today, a large number of villagers came out in hordes to pay homage.

Selection trials for cricket talent
New Delhi, August 24
Trials will be held to pick boys for the Ramakant Achrekar Cricket Foundation at the Central School ground, Sector 3, Rohini from August 26 to 29 between 4 and 7 pm. The foundation will begin the new session from September 1 at the DDA Sports Complex, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi and the Central School ground, Rohini.
