Has anyone realised the
damage being done to our human resources by allowing students to be
cheated by unscrupulous foreign universities which have opened
offshore campuses in India, asks D.S. Cheema. |

RUDYARD
KIPLING in his novel Kim said, "There is no sin so great
as ignorance." Indeed, there is no sin greater than being
ignorant or letting others live in ignorance. Education has been
widely recognised as a tool to enlighten the ignorant. But if someone
cheats the ignorant under the pretence of providing education, one
must sit up and take notice of it.
Passion
royale for pampering pets
Roshni Johar
THE
Indian royalty was known to pamper their dogs, and went to strange
limits doing that. While some intensely loved them, others hated them
with equal candour. The Maharaja of Junagadh, Nawab Sir Mahabet Khan
Rasul Khan, invited Lord Irwin to grace the occasion of marriage of
Roshanara with Bobby.
TALKING POINT
‘Tyrant’s’
inimitable exchange with an ‘idiot’
Satyendra R. Shukla
IT
would, of course, not come as a surprise to anyone that Mahatma Gandhi
regularly wrote to and receives letters from many important people of
his day. But how many know that he also wrote regularly — sometimes
even twice a week — to a beautiful princess, using different
pseudonyms such as "Idiot", "Rebel" and
"Untouchable" to address her and signing himself as
"Tyrant", "Robber" and "Warrior" etc?
It
is attitude that counts, faith that prevails
R.C. Sharma
IF
you have problems or you are passing through an unfavourable time, you
needn’t worry at all. When there is a problem, there is definitely a
solution too. When somebody is ill, he goes to a doctor. The doctor
examines him, and after diagnosis prescribes the appropriate medicine
which cures him.
