3 pc DA for Punjab staff

Punjab Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh today announced 3 per cent additional dearness allowance (DA) from January for government employees, pensioners and employees of the government-aided institutions.

The Chief Minister said it would put a burden of Rs 103.38 crore per annum on the state exchequer. The DA arrears from January to April would be deposited in the provident fund accounts of employees while it would be paid in cash with salary from May.
