DRESS Designer Suneet Varma has been approached by none other than Oscar winner Nicole Kidman. Though the details are not out yet, it is learnt that Suneet is going to be designing costumes for the hottest star of Hollywood, for her forthcoming film. All that the designer is willing to reveal right now is that "a movie, a big Hollywood production, is in the offing." But, he is yet to sign the contract. Kidman is one of the most-sought-after actresses in Hollywood, post the success of Moulin Rouge and an Oscar for The Hours earlier this month. The Delhi-based
designer, however, declines to spill the beans, saying that he is yet
to be told about the film and other details. |
Suneet, who has made a transition from western wear designs to ethnic garments with a lot of embroidery, is busy right now with his newest range of Spring Summer Collection, which is to be unveiled in Mumbai soon. With the latest assignment, the Indian fashion guru would join the likes of Abu Jani, Sandeep Khosla and Rohit Bal, who have already designed for Hollywood stars. The duo of Jani and Khosla has designed for Dame Judi Dench’s personal collection, while Bal has made a few costumes for the Russel Crowe-starrer The Gladiator. But, this is the biggest catch so far, because right now nobody is bigger than Kidman in Hollywood. Leisure Media News |
