VHP extends ‘satyagraha’

New Delhi, March 10
The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today extended its one-day “satyagraha” on the Ayodhya issue, scheduled to be held in Delhi on March 27, to a week-long programme and asserted that the agitation for the construction of the Ram temple would achieve its purpose before the coming Assembly elections.

The “satyagraha” from March 27 to April 2 was aimed at pressing VHP’s demands for handing over the undisputed site in Ayodhya to the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas and enactment of a legislation in Parliament the paving way for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, VHP International General Secretary Pravin Togadia told a press conference here today.
