CM rebukes IMA
Tribune News Service

Chandigarh, January 21
The Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh, today sharply rebuked the Punjab branch of the Indian Medical Association for trying to defend doctors involved in the kidney scam.

“I think it is shameful that the IMA is trying to defend the criminal elements in the medical profession”, the Chief Minister said in a talk with mediapersons here.

“The IMA should try to uphold the medical ethics rather than offer a defence of the criminal elements. There would be no leniency towards such elements. How can any government tolerate it?” he asked.
