Azad to head J&K coordination committee

New Delhi, December 28
The Congress President today constituted a nine-member coordination committee to monitor the functioning of the PDP-Congress coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir with Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad as its chairman.

State Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader Mangat Ram Sharma and PDP Vice-President Mehbooba Mufti are the other prominent members of the committee. Besides Ms Mehbooba Mufti, Rajya Sabha member Trilochan Singh would be the nominees from the PDP, while Panthers Party President Bhim Singh and CPM leader Mohammed Yousuf Tarigami are the other members.
