Srinagar, December 26
Three members of a family were gunned down by a group of militants last night, sparking a demonstration by agitated residents of a village in Badgam district of central Kashmir today, official sources said.

Mohammad Shafi Wani and his two sons Zahoor Ahmad and Jehangir were gunned down by the militants inside their house at Gopalpora last night. While Wani and Zahoor died on the spot Jehangir succumbed to his injuries at a hospital here today, the sources said.

They said the residents of the village took to streets and blocked Srinagar-Chrar-e-Sharief road running parallel to the village, the sources said.

JAMMU: Five Pakistani infiltrators were killed by the Indian troops on the border in Mandhar sector of Poonch district on Thursday.
