7 CRPF jawans, ultra killed

Imphal, November 20
Seven CRPF jawans on patrol duty at Loktak hydel project and a self-styled lieutenant of the banned People’s Liberation Army (PLA) were killed in separate encounters between security forces and the ultras in Manipur today.

The jawans were killed in an ambush this morning at Jivan Nagar in Bishenpur district, official sources said.

In another incident, a PLA “lieutenant”, Pukhrambam Lukhoi, was killed in exchange of fire between PLA activists and Imphal west district police commandos at Kiyamge area here this morning. PTI
