Cold wave conditions in Shimla

Shimla, November 13
The intense cold wave sweeping mid and higher hills of Himachal further intensified today as the higher reaches in the tribal areas and the sprawling Dhauladhar ranges in Kangra had another spell of fresh snowfall and high velocity icy winds continued to sweep the region.

The fresh snowfall in the Dhauladhar ranges created biting cold wave conditions in the lower valley areas as mercury recorded a sharp fall. Shimla and its surrounding areas also reeled under severe cold wave conditions and the temperature hovered around the freezing point. PTI
