Mufti says no to ‘CM by rotation’

Srinagar, October 21 There was no breakthrough in the talks between the senior Congress leader, Dr Manmohan Singh, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief, Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, here on the second day of their discussion on forming a coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Following talks with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) having failed to yield a breakthrough about the formation of a government in Jammu and Kashmir, the Congress will now decide tomorrow whether to continue dialogue with the PDP or to try and form a government without the PDP.

PM has sore throat; Cabinet meeting put off

The Cabinet meeting scheduled to finalise the Tenth Plan proposal was postponed today as Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee was suffering from a “throat problem”.
